About Us

We are a survivor-directed, voluntary organization that supports breast cancer patients and their families. Breast Cancer Action was founded in 1992 by a group of women who knew first-hand, the meaning of a breast cancer diagnosis.

We care because we’ve been there.

Our programs and services help individuals in their journey towards an active and healthy recovery. We offer support in the following areas:

Healthy Living

• Fitness classes
• Dragon Boat teams

Educational

• Pre-operative information sessions
• Lymphedema workshops
• Breast cancer library
• Newsletters, educational materials, lectures and workshops

Support

• Peer support program to help those newly diagnosed deal with the challenges of breast cancer.
• Outreach, new programs, projects and initiatives, community interaction.
• Support groups coming soon.
